Is restricting Fishing In California the Right thing?
The Fish and Game Commision decided to ban all fishing between Santa Barbara and Half Moon Bay in California to help perserve the marine life. This ban is to help perserve some of the marine life that is deminishing from the demands on fishing. It could mean less fresh fish that the tourist come for. Is it right?

What Evil Genius Fed Arsenic to the Chickens?
As I read this article, my mind starts to ask alot of questions. When are we going to put the health of the people before the mighty dollar? What is driving us to produce a bigger and better product at any cost, I hope it is ignorance? Do we realize what we are doing to the animals, in return what we are doing to the consumer? I hope we are just studip, because if we aren't, it means we will do anything at any cost to make a dollar. Who is the driver in these events, the producer, the middleman, the Wal-marts of the world, or is it the consumer? Who is the murderer? Please help me to understand, what is happening in this world, in this country, this is suppose to be the greatest country in the world. Are we really?

What's the Minnesota Project?
I found an article about the Minnesota Project at www.mnproject.org. The Minnesota project is a non profit organizaion that focus on community issues with an emphasis on renewable energy, efficient use of energy, and emphasizes relationships and building strong communtiy bonds. It has been in existence for the past 25 years. I think that this is an awesome concept. Being from Michigan, I don't know of any projects or organizations such as this. I think it helps to build knowledge and that's always a good thing.

Why Monsanto loves ethanol
From Salon.com: "American farmers, spurred by ethanol frenzy, are planting the largest corn crop in more than 50 years. The demand is so high, reports Farm News, that seed companies are running out of the most popular varieties of corn seed."
- Andrew Leonard
Monsanto, the world's largest genetically modified (GM) seed company, is drooling over the increased demand for ethanol-based biofuels. When it comes to supply and demand of GM corn, Monsanto is running the show. However magical the new species of plants appear, critics of genetically modified organizms (GMO's) are worried about the vast genetic experiment this corporation is playing on the evolution of species. What is driving the demand? What are some of the environmental concerns? Read more at www.salon.com/tech/htww/2007/03/26/triple_stacked_hybrids/index.html?source=rss
