Our Field Trip

Class,

We're going to Fort Snelling State Park, just across the Mendota Bridge. We'll meet at the visitor center at the beginning of class where Kao Thao, the Park Guide, will be speaking to us about the history and ecology of the area briefly. We'll leave Kao and the Visitor Center and explore Pike Island, which lies on the confluence of the Minnesota River and the Mississippi River. Each car will need to pay a $5 parking fee, so it'd be more economical to carpool.
